About Me

I am a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling.  I worked in various community organizations with children, adolescents and families from 1992 to 2004.    From 2005 to 2012, I worked in a community mental health center providing individual, group and crisis counseling.  I began working in private practice in 2012 and decided to open Ramsey Counseling Services in 2013.  In therapy, I use a varied set of approaches tailored to meet the needs of the client.  I often use evidenced based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psycho-education and Brief Solution Focused Therapy.

I have been married to a wonderful husband for 20+ years and have two great children.   I have lived in Richmond, Kentucky for over 20 years and have seen tremendous growth and change in the community over the years.  Even with the growth and change, I feel Richmond has retained its small town feel and continues to be a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.

Location

My office is located in beautiful downtown Richmond, KY.  I am located on the 2nd floor of the US Bank building at 200 East Main Street, Suite 215.   The US Bank building has a great parking lot in the back of the building, with ample off street parking.
